Yay for the good health report. I hope you had a lovely birthday in addition to the Christmas holiday.

My health (and hubby's) is very poor, but somehow we keep hanging on. It's too complicated to go into here.

I wish you a wonderful coming year that's filled with good health and the disappearance of the coronavirus.

Dear Yeux, I’m so sorry, I’ve just noticed I missed your last message at Christmas. I’m sorry to hear about the health problems you and hubby are having to contend with. And now we have this awful coronavirus on top of everything else. Thankfully we are having our first vaccination tomorrow. Have you had yours yet? XX

Yeah, the coronavirus is really out of control in the US, mostly because Trump really never did anything to combat it.

Getting the vaccine here is a mess. It's completely disorganized. We're going to wait a couple of months and hopefully it will be more organized by then. In the meantime, the only places we go are to doctors, the pharmacy and occasionally the grocery. We ALWAYS wear masks, use hand sanitizer and scrub our hands thoroughly when we get home. We don't know anyone personally who has had it and the few people who come to our house (the Meals on Wheels delivery person and the man who cleans for us) wear masks and so do we while they're here.

I thought we were disorganised regarding the COVID vaccine but it does seem to be even worse there. We don’t know anyone who’s had it thankfully. We had our vaccines today but of course we still have to abide by the rules. Not sure when we’ll get our second jab. Because I am shielding due to the immunosuppressant drugs I am only allowed out to doctors and hospitals etc. Oh well, at least it’s a relief to know there’s a vaccine, imagine if there wasn’t one!! xx

Oh goodness, I'm so sorry you had to go through this, but thank goodness they caught the cancer in its earliest stages! Here's hoping you'll be able to get vaccinated for the coronavirus asap. I have a weakened lung due to a history of not-properly-treated childhood asthma and resultant frequent pulmonary infections so I am at slightly heightened risk, but that's way less scary than being immunocompromised. I hope the meds for your blood platelet condition will keep working well long term. *hugs*

Glad to hear that! I still have to wait a bit since I'm only at slightly elevated risk, so just ahead of the general populace, but hopefully soon.
