It is very abrupt. I really wish it had been a series or mini-series instead, there was just too much going on for a movie and then it was like "oops we've run out of time".

If I femember correctly, it was a pilot for a series that didn't get picked up. It was then edited to the movie we have now. Perahsp the part leading up to Michael's suicide was in the parts edited out.

Really? I know it was supposed to be a series, but . . . It was a suicide??? 'cuz they made it seem like Michael went looking for the shooter and got killed. x_0;
