I enjoyed the program and I'm looking forward to next week. This show is like 180 degrees out from SG-1 and SGA which is weird in a way but interesting too. It's definitely not BSG...I was getting real tired of that comparison.
I'm totally liking the Eli character (and I didn't think I would). I like TJ and Col Young too. I'm still out on some of the other characters (there are quite a few of them).
I remember reading/hearing something about Carter being the commander of the USS George Hammond but I don't remember seeing anything about Jack being in charge of the SGC.

IKR? Lots of people; hard for me to keep track of 'em all. Heh. But it's no problem, I'm sure it'll get easier as the series goes on. I didn't think I'd like Eli either, but I really do. He's not the typical geek, and he's a character that can be related to by a lot of fans, I think. And Rush is a bit of a shifty character, eh? I'm wondering if Jack REALLY put him in charge. Hrm....*ponders*
I think I'm hooked. It isn't classic Stargate, but the characters and story sucked me in. Gotta find out what that Rush guy is up to, cuz I don't think it's anything good. I like Eli and Lt. Scott the most so far, and Chloe. Yea, the Jack thing surprised me, too, but maybe he was just there to oversee this project? All in all, if it stays as good, I'm watching it.
It was the last episode of Atlantis when Carter was talking to John at the SGC that she mentioned that she was only in temporary command of the SGC while Landry was in meetings in Washington and soon she would be taking command of the General Hammond.
I don't think they've officially and/or canonically taken Jack out of D.C. yet, so perhaps he was at the SGC to oversee the project, or in response to an emergency involving a U.S. Senator. Who knows?

Ooookay. That's for clearing that one up for me! :D

I just hope that it gets clarified to help with my confusion. XD heh.

Me neither. He's very shifty. Seems like the kinda guy that would do the wrong thing for the right reasons.
