SGU

I like it so far. :)
There are folks saying it's too much like BSG, but I've only watched a couple eps of BSG, so I don't really know. I do like that it's very character driven.
To me, this doesn't really feel like a "Stargate" show, but it doesn't bother me if I don't take it as one. I think that's what they were trying to do in the first place. They obviously wanted to remove themselves from the other SG shows, and this really is pretty far from that, besides the fact that they're using past SG-1 guest stars. Which, I liked, because hey, I love the originals; they're my team! :)
So far, my favorite characters are Eli, Colonel Young, and the medic with the blonde hair (TJ or DJ?). I really don't like Lt. Scott, Telford, or Dr. Rush. Those are my original thoughts, but things can change.
I've got a question if anyone can answer this for me...
It looked like Jack was commanding from the SGC, and there was no Landry (thank God! No offense Beau), but Walter was there (yay Walter! lol). So is Jack back in command of the SGC?
And Sam's the commander of the General Hammond, right? When did they mention that as her new position. I can't seem to remember. Was it at the end of Continuum? Drawin' a blank here.
