That sucks. Nothing worse than being disappointed in something you thought might be good. I haven't actually read any of the novels that are out there. Uhhh...perhaps it's cause of the fabulous fanfic out there that I'm addicted to but are there any of the novels that you'd recommend reading?

A Matter of Honor, and it's sequel, The Cost of Honor by Sally Malcolm were good. Survival of the Fittest by Sabine C. Bauer is my favorite, and either of the two by Karen Miller (who's also in the fanfiction world using the penname 'Doc'). :) I believe Bauer has some SG-1 fanfics out there as well.

I thought it was Sabine C. Bauer who put out her stuff as "Doc", and Karen Miller was "OzKaren", but I could be terribly wrong.

I have to second your review, I just got the book and read it today - very disappointed overall, thankfully the Teal'c/Carter subtext missed my radar, at the halfway point it became an 'I've read this much lets just finish it asap' kinda read. Here's hoping the upcoming trilogy is a good story!

I had that moment of 'might as well get this over with' too. :( Sadly.
