i think nietzsche adopts stendahl's aesthetic philosophy of beauty promising happiness. i think that nietzsche misinterprets schopenhauer's philosophy that a "disinterestedness" is what happens when art/beauty meets the audience. also that it is a nihilism. i think that schopenhauer misinterprets kant by assuming that disinterestedness stands alone
