OK I have watched 30 seconds and I can't stand to see any more. I like violetisblue's suggestion to set Jedburgh on them.

The worst thing - OK, one of the very many, many bad things - about this movie is that there's clearly no room for the best line of dialogue from the TV serial:

"Nobody dances like the British. They deserve the Falklands."

I have never seen the original, but no amount of money will get me to see a Mel Gibson movie ever again, not even if they filmed it here. (It does look like there's a nice chase scene in the 93 tunnel, though.)

You may have a point, since neither movie of his I saw after that was all that great. And then he shot off his mouth and showed everyone what a sexist, anti-Semitic prick he really is, so I lost all desire to see anything else with him in it, ever.

Besides, I think the International Jewish Conspiracy will dock my paychecks if I spend money on a Mel Gibson movie.

Okay, that's the worst AU fic in history. Gun-crazy American Craven? British Jedburgh? That's just stupid.

Good thing it isn't real, no such movie exists, and the only Edge of Darkness is the real one that I just got on DVD!

The AU badfic probably has lots of not-thinking-about-it implicit incest, and will be marginally less weird on that front than actual canon. And act out every hoary old cliche of Angry Action Hero Protecting/Avenging His Daughter, because badfic's like that. And they'll probably leave off the black flowers in favor of "Gun-crazy American Craven shoots the bad guys."

I bet they will. Either that, or they'll make everyone there over-the-top cackling evil.

On the upside, they can never change the awesome that is Darius Jedburgh. Fake Jedburgh has a different first name.
