I wanted to start pimping the Year End Writing Meme early this year. It's a fun way to assess what writings you've completed in the fandom in 2008, and it offers readers a chance to discover new fic, or rediscover an old favourite. Nos! I made a SPREADSHEET! Because I knew you would kick my ass again if I didn't do it (politely, of course) and last year was complicated and stuff because it was all over the place and compiling was annoying. But I have a SPREADSHEET! *is proud*

That's awesome! And it makes you feel so satisfied, doesn't it? When you line things up and realize, "Wow, hey, I wrote SO MUCH this year!"

I think, if you sit down and take a look at what you posted, the number would actually surprise you! Just try it out - it's a good exercise, even if you only do it for yourself.

I don't think my year's fic output is enough for this meme, but I love other people doing it! Specially the process ones - it's so interesting to hear how other people see their own writing.

Yes! I think that's why I love it so much, too. It's fascinating to get that kind of insight into people's creative processes, and I'm always interested in an author's reaction to her/his own work.
