I wanted to start pimping the
Year End Writing Meme early this year. It's a fun way to assess what writings you've completed in the fandom in 2008, and it offers readers a chance to discover new fic, or rediscover an old favourite. I'm hopeful that everyone will complete the meme - I've had to skip a lot of my regular reading this year due to work pressures, and I'm counting on the year-end roundup to help me locate the stories I missed during my self-imposed hiatus.
So, the way it works is this: fill out the meme and post it to your journal. You can be as detailed or as brief as you like, and you can certainly hold off posting your response until after the holiday ficathons are revealed. Then, shoot me a link to your meme answers, and I'll compile everyone's responses into a big All that Was Written in the Fandom in 2008 resource list. I figure it might be useful to anyone who's interested in exploring fandom trends: they can see if people are writing more F/V or Ray/Ray fic, new C6D pairings or fandoms (FLAILPOINT!), and how people feel about the writing they accomplished over the course of the year.
Here are the meme questions, and please fill this out if you have the time or inclination. Remember, I'll collect the links and start pimping the 2008 Year End Writing Meme during the first week in January, so you don't have to post right away. Hold off, if you like, until your dSSS and Yuletide stories have been revealed. (It'll make your collected body of work that much more impressive, I promise). Here be the questions!

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2007?
Did you take any writing risks this year? (See above for unexpected pairings, etc.) What did you learn from them?
Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?
I'd like to thank the academy... (Thanks to your betas, frequent commenters/supporters, the people who stayed up with you late on IM...)
