i'm good but busy in that horrible way only school can make you busy--the feeling that you have 10 million things to do (when in actuality you don't) that are pressing on you constantly but you cannot really define what they are. In short I spent 5 hours in the library today studying and doing research on 2 different Marian papers and kicking myself for not knowing french (the language of Marian scholarship). Now I'm at home dreaming of curry, because that obviously goes hand in hand with academic research. Mmm, curry...

I know, a long and convoluted reply to a simple question. Blame the evening.

I like that you cheerfully proffer the zombie pinup calendar without comment yet insist that the jello brain mould is for your brother. :)

I'm hopeful Passchendaele does incredibly well in Canada so that distributors see the potential for dollar signs in the States and release it here.

Most likely it would go into limited release in places like New York and L.A, but there is always the potential that there could be screenings here in Baltimore, MD where I live, say, at the Charles Theater or The Senator Theater.

Still, I've saved it to my Netflix Queue so that when it comes out on DVD, I'll get to see it then.

I really do hope it does well, too. And yes, you'll definitely see it, just hopefully a little sooner if it gets theatrical distribution. *crosses fingers on your behalf*

'I have a feeling that this is probably going to be one of the highest-grossing domestic films here in Canuckistan, but what that means for a wider global release is anyone's guess.'
I hope it does well outside of Canuckistan (I have a new favourite word). The reviews I get from Google alerts seemed to be mixed, but that's generally expected with a War movie.

Yeah, I think so too. And the reviews...well, it's a sentimental movie. A melodrama. So it's not exactly an easy sell, but I think that it treads carefully on the schmalt line but doesn't cross it. So...fingers crossed!
