Last of the Washington trip pictures. My final day in DC with omphale23 as we toured around various museums and gardens.

That earth with all the cars is one of the first public art installations that does not make me cry over the waste of tax payer money. It's really neat.

The airport security exhibit was probably trying to re-write history: "See kids, cavity searches and Stalin-ish rules have always been part of this great country!"

It really is neat! They had about ten of the globes; my pal omphale23 got a few pics of the rest of them. You'd have liked the whole exhibit very much, I think.

And yeah, the draconian security measures in Washington were really disturbing, mainly because the population didn't seem to think they were all that extreme. It was very worrying, actually.

The cars on North America art is the coolest thing ever. Obviously DC has gotten hipper since I moved away in the 80s.
