Ye Olde Institute Of Higher Learning closed today thanks to a wicked snowstorm, and so I've got a day off! \o/ I decided to put the extra free time to good use and finish up my ds_workshop post about the RCMP, and I'd like to get a second opinion on it to make sure I've hit most of the pertinent points and, uh, spelled everything correctly ( Read more... )

This is crazy! We've had about a foot of snow since, like, noon, and no plows so far. Driving = good times. /o\

I'm not doing anything this afternoon if you want me to take a look at the ds_workshop thing. It's been snowing a little here too, although not sticking, but I'm still resolved to hide out next to the radiator with a blanket and my laptop until it stops being so bloody cold.

I know! Cat, it's wonderful! Even if the plows outside are noisy, I am SO HAPPY not to be teaching today. The students would have been miserable, I would have been anxious, it would have been a mess. \o/ for snow days!

*WANTS snow day*

lipstickcat got snow! I have... *peers out window* 40% cloud cover, rising humidity, scattered showers of sleet. Sleet is not-- in any way, shape, or form-- fun.

There is, also, the interesting conundrum of the fact that I don't actually have to go outside in order to get to work, so my chances of ever being able to use even such an insipid meterological condition as sleet as justification for a duvet-day is nada.
