The RCW 139 convention dates have been announced (and many thanks to secretlybronte for the nudge). The RCW con will run from Friday, August 15th to Sunday, August 17th, 2008, and it will be held at the Toronto Marriott Bloor Yorkville hotel, which is near the intersection of Bloor and Yonge in Toronto, Ontario. May it please the court, I'd like to state for the record that nos is not a skinhead of any kind, random, specific, or otherwise. She's very un-bigoted and has actual hair.

I definitely want to go to RCW, for various reasons that I've already mentioned but I so much want to meet slash fangirls as well. As I am going to be travelling a long way from the UK, I'm already planning to book 2 weeks off work and do the tourist bit, so I could easily stretch my trip to cover either the weekend before or after. I've voting for the weekend after simply because I think that would make it the highlight of my trip ^_^

The con sounds great, especially the slash alterna-con. I will try and drag the rest of the TorFen (Toronto Fen) to it.

Will there be a dealer room/space? I could do a small reprint of the Duet zines for the ocassion.

Wow, there are TorFen? I had no idea! And I would definitely make room for some dealers - I think I'd set it up like MJ (such a fabulous con, model for so many) and have a permanent space were people could meet, dealers could set up shop, we could do art projects, etc, etc.

And you better watch out, missy! I'm going to recruit more Toronto people to help organize :-)
