Why do you do the 'flu do that you do so well?

Nov 08, 2007 12:14

Ugh. I think the Rimming Gods are angry with me, or possibly I'm being punished for composing porn while teaching an ethics class. I got a 'flu shot on Monday and now it's come back to bite me: I'm nauseous, achy, and I can't quite manage to sit up for very long. I've cancelled my afternoon class and I've got a couch day planned, which means I'll ( Read more... )

Doh. I haven't got my shot yet. Never been sick off it, but it usually does make my arm ache. You'll appreciate having it come February. *pets*

Brokeback is a comfort movie? You ARE an angstmuffin.

Sigh. If I had my external HD with me I could watch dS with you. Oh well.

P.S. Callum was on TV last night doing indecent things to a cigar. His TV appearances are stealthly!

Awww, I wish you had your HD with you! But I probably shouldn't be typing. Witness me making my condition worse.

Callum sighting! With a cigar, you say? Iiiiinteresting. Is this the Bionic Woman guest appearance?

that's why i don't like getting flu or other shots, although in my case i normally just imagine the symptoms until i get them. make sure aaron takes care of you or i'll kick his ass when i see him next. Also, when you can manage to eat, bulk up on your oranges, garlic, and onions--if you make a stirfry you can have them all in one serving! with chicken!

ok, that's my mom-advice for the day.

Thanks mom! I think I'll try out that stir-fry tomorrow - today seems like a no-food kind of day. *blerg*

Awwww, poor Nos. *tucks you in* I am not sure I trust these flu shots. I have never had one, but I've heard many stories similar to yours.

I wanna watch those dS eps with you! *pouts* (That little run of North-Vault-Witness-Bird in the Hand is MADE OF WIN.) And Brokeback Mountain, for that matter. I'm in a semi-masochistic mood.

My husband bought the new Springsteen album, and I haven't managed to wrest it from him yet, but I've listened to it several times in his car and it's really good--a lot more like his old-school stuff, but with a decidedly political bent. I'd definitely recommend it for the Christmas list.

I guess the rationale behind the flu shot is that what I'm feeling now is to prevent me from being much sicker later on. I do not buy this chain of logic. I think you're right to avoid the shot!

*pouts* I know, I know. The viewing of these episodes could only be improved with a) fangirls and b) less coughing and sneezing. Ugh.

And I think I'll go ahead and add the CD to my Christmas list!

I've been debating with myself about getting a flu shot this year. I think I'll pass, thank you kindly. I hope you feel better soon. You need my zebra for a bit?

Awww, thanks! That's a very sweet offer! *makes grabby hands* Although it's just a tiny taste of the 'flu, and I'm sure I'll be back to normal tomorrow. Hopefully. Ugh.

Ooh. I wouldn't want ANY gods mad at me--they're so CREATIVE in their pissiness--but man, I really, REALLY would not want the rimming gods mad at me.

Feel better! *smooches*

Thanks for the smoochies!
