The Fangirl Summer of 2007 is officially at an end, and I am exhausted and sad and a little giddy from getting the chance to meet so many great fangirls. ignazwisdom and omphale23 and primroseburrows were terrific guests and we all had a fabulous time. Reading about fangirl meetups always fills me with such glee. It's almost as good as being there myself. Almost.

*g* Breaking him is indeed preferable to some family heirloom (of which I have none) but I wish the breaking hadn't involved quite so much sickness. Seriously. You know the scene in Jaws where they cut the shark open? That was my boyfriend on Everclear. Yuck :-)

You're coming to MJ in 2009, right? Or con_txt? Or the planned spring con next year? Because you need to experience RL fangirl meetups for yourself. They must be seen to be believed! Also I realy want to meet you! Maybe we can convince jamethiel_bane to come along, too!

Cons all depend on dates. I don't get to choose my own holiday time - one of the few downsides of being a teacher - so they have to fit. con_txt is definitely out, and the planned spring con too. I have hopes for MJ 2009 and I have connotations over here in October which I've convinced at least one American fangirl to come over for. Woo!

Other than that I'm in the States in October and am hoping to snag a fangirl or two then if we can work that out. Also, I'm determined to get to Canada at some point. It will happen. Oh yes.

I want to meet you too! jamethiel_bane can be worked on, I reckon. *plots*

Oooh Canada! You know, if you plan a trip to Toronto I could add you to the list of fangirls to whom I have personally served drinks! I really hope you do make it out in October. It's too bad about the teaching schedule; I can certainly understand how it would wreck havoc with your vacation times. I'm a bit worried myself that I'll be teaching in June/July but I'm hoping I'll be able to work around it. I don't have quite as far to travel as you do, after all :-)

It was a fantastic time! I forgot to mention this in the post, but during our vid screening I made omphale23 sit down and watch your Ray/Ray vid. Now, she hates Vecchio. Hates him. And she's written Ray/Ray but she wasn't happy with it, and she doesn't like the pairing, and she was really reluctant to watch the vid. But she did, and then at the end (after much squeeing) she kind of admitted to their inherent sexiness and appeal. So your vid is winning fans everywhere! It's like the exact opposite of "Voodoo" :-)

*g* I won't tell if you don't! And you're right, Vecchio hatred is a bit nutty, but...I can see where she's coming from, a teensy bit. He's a bit patronizing around Fraser. And he's kind of a jerk. Personally I think it's sexy, but I can see how he'd rub some people the wrong way.

You were there in spirit! And, actually, for a while there as a phone call. I'm so glad you did call, even if I was a little tipsy and a bit dorky (and loud - I was loud, right?) when you called. We had fun chatting with you, and I cannot WAIT for MJ 2009. What is with you not going to con_txt, btw? Do I need to come to Australia and stage some kind of intervention?
