The Fangirl Summer of 2007 is officially at an end, and I am exhausted and sad and a little giddy from getting the chance to meet so many great fangirls. ignazwisdom and omphale23 and primroseburrows were terrific guests and we all had a fabulous time. we did eventually end up watching "Call of the Wild," during which we critiqued the flawed narrative structure and questioned the socio-political implications of establishing Canada as a pipeline for Russian nuclear liquidation.

Whoa, I read this and was like, "wow, I must have been really toasted then, because I don't remember any of that."

I'd also like to register that I did NOT make fun of Aaron after he retired; in fact I made many sympathetic noises in his general direction. (I may have also written down your "you know that scene in Jaws?" line for my later LOLz. I'm only a man, for god's sake.)

Hahaha, yes, we weren't quite that sophisticated in our critiques. But you were pretty toasted, so maybe I could have convinced you otherwise :-)

I made it to Ottawa and back to RI in one piece. My kids wired me money (my own, not theirs), because the Bank of Montreal didn't feel like it. Next time I bring TWO cards. And I'm already thinking about next time. This is not good, because I'm pretty sure there's no 12-step programme for Canada. :)

She had also tried to inflict most of Paul Gross' musical oeuvre on me but I can't quite add those songs to my library in good conscience.

That's because the volume was too low, and she started with the wrong song. Go listen to this. It doesn't suck, I promise.

I think I may have suggested that she kill off a major character.

You did, and you might have saved the story. I was shocked at the very idea, but it makes so much sense that now it's part of the story's canon and I couldn't change it if I wanted to. Which? I do not.

You totally can. I personally LOVE the TICKY BOYXXXXes.

Or maybe we just laughed and joked and yelled, "Boyfriends!" and "Emo Mountie!" a lot.

I'm pretty sure it was this one. With the yelling and such.

omphale23 ended up staying both Saturday and Sunday night, and so she got to meet iganzwisdom!

I did! And she is as awesome as advertised.
