I wonder if the cellphone will still work after 150 years.

Re: souls, last week, i got a slavery vibe and the show has long had a rape vibe. And now they’re an energy source. Gah, I want to know what Cas is up to even if it means I have to brace myself for a omfg wtf reveal.

serrico said some interesting things in her review about the soul/rape stuff. I am very uneasy about where they might be going with this, but I do kind of love that they're making Castiel shady.

I'm almost afraid to know what Cas is doing. The way they've hidden it from us, and the way Cas has been the Prince of Vague, makes me very nervous.

Also--Bonanza opening credits--how could it get better? And then it did! :)

Oh, I missed the Bonanza reference. (That was a wee bit before my time). But I agree with you that Cas must be doing something pretty damn bad, and while I like them making him grey, I hope he'll still be redeemable after.

Some folks are comparing Cas' behavior to Sam's during his unfortunate blood addiction--how creepy would that be??

That seems like the wrong comparison to me. I think he's going to end up more like Michael/Lucifer/Zachariah, using human souls somehow to win his war. I mean, I get that Sam also was doing what he thought was necessary to win a war, but I think the corruption Castiel is experiencing is less addiction-like and more like a general who doesn't care about collateral damage.
