Smallville: Disciple

Really brief reactions, not really of the positive variety, if you don't want your squee harshed.

I did finally make myself watch Pandora, even though I never reviewed it, because watching it made me realize I just really don't care about the whole Zod storyline--even if there was some great Clois in it, and interesting character stuff for Chloe and Tess. It's not like I think Zod is *really* going to conquer the world, and frankly I'm bored with Zod. (Some of the other Kandorians might become interesting, but my general response to the whole Kandorian plot is MEH. Probably not a good sign, considering it's the major plot arc of the season).

So that made tonight's episode a little...schizophrenic for me. I mean, I thought the (really dopey) Ollie plotline was absolutely gripping compared to the Zod-trying-to-work-his-mojo on Clark plot, and the Zod menacing Lois plot, and....YAWN. Sorry, it's just really not doing it for me.

By contrast, I almost liked Ollie's storyline. Well, not really, but since most of what I really want from Ollie is shirtless angst with an occasional bit of heroism thrown in, we got that in spades. And I do like his interactions with Mia; she reminds me of a poor woman's Kristen Bell, and in general I like her.

At the moment all that's keeping me watching the show is the Clois, which was absolutely freaking adorable in this episode. I love that they're both keeping track of PDA, for example.

Oh, I guess there was one more thing I liked, and that was Chloe and Clark having an actual conversation, where she actually told him what she did with Oliver (and admitted she could have actually been wrong!!), and Clark using his knowledge of her future to try to get her to rethink her priorities. That was a good scene, I thought.
