The JETs in the next prefecture over (Shimane AJET) have organized a hike up Mount Sanbe in Shimane Prefecture to raise money to send to the restoration efforts in Fukushima/Tohoku. I am fine. My students and friends are fine. Thank you to everyone in Japan and the states who checked in on me. I'm gonna double post this to Lucky Mountain just in case. Further updates will be cross posted here, twitter, and facebook. But i doubt they will be necessary.

last saturday, j,a,f, and i set out for carlsbad caverns, by way of ozona. Just as i was starting to panic enough to contact the JET coordinator and ask about the medicine import form and the visa application, he posted them to our Yahoo group. So i'll work on those this weekend. And the FBI (heh, i typed FIB first) processed my credit card yesterday, so hopefully i'll have a shiny new background check in the mail soon. ( Read more... )
