As Nick massaged his temples after the umpteenth showdown between his father and the superheroes that were technically under his command, he was starting to wonder if it wasn't maybe a better idea to just kidnap his father, force him into therapy, and keep him away from anything asgard for a century or five. Really, he understood that it wasn't easy growing up with the alien royalty version of a bunch of braindead hicks whose idea of child-rearing was more along the lines of abusive neglect and lessons of how to hold sharp and heavy things, and whose sense of style was migraine inducing where it wasn't medieval, and that the property damage might be cathartic, but still, wasting that much effort on what basically amounted to a hissy-fit?

Nick must've inherited the normal genes in the family, which is saying something.

"alien royalty version of a bunch of braindead hicks whose idea of child-rearing was more along the lines of abusive neglect and lessons of how to hold sharp and heavy things" <- best description of Loki's upbringing ever.

For plotsake, I pretend the whole "Cast down to encircle Midgard while assumed to be underwater" was partially magically bound to Jormungandr. Resulting, of course, in "No man of woman born" rulefrakkery, because Fury is no idiot and magic bonds exist to be thought a way around ( ... )

Fenrir agreed to help gather enough information to be able to pass for midgardians and to find out how to gain enough power or be part of something with enough presence or power to fulfill the rather vaguely worded curse upon Jormungandr ( ... )

Hahaha. I'm now imagining Fenris ending up on animal cops. This was really cute. I love the monsters being clever.

I love the idea of Fury and Coulson being the big monsters in disguise and running things from behind the scenes. I love this prompt.

Nawww, I love how Fury's so patient exasperated and overprotective of his mildly-psychotic dad. Glee! :D
