I really never imagined that I would drink a Miller Light in Germany. At least I had a jägerbomb with it. Also, driving here at night is really hard because there is basically no light anywhere.

Earlier this evening I was walking outside and I heard a "cuckoo" sound coming from the trees. I determined that it was either the very first cuckoo bird I'd ever heard in my entire life, or I've finally gone insane.

People don't seem to write great works of literature and thought in prison anymore. I guess they're too busy lifting weights and getting gang tattoos. Not to mention all the rape.

As a current member of the 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment's rear detachment task force - known as Task Force Spartan - I probably find it too amusing when each morning as the group comes to attention we yell in unison, "SPARTANS!!"

Tomorrow I leave for Germany. The rest of the world will remain approximately the same.

Yesterday I was sitting on the couch at my mom's place when I received a text message from a number I'd never seen before. Here is the exchange, which took place over the course of approximately 4 minutes:
