Here! Here! I think this could work for the entire country. Also I think food stamps should not be used to purchase soda (possibly chips) but could purchase diapers.

One of the problems is access to food, what people in the Food Justice Movement or whatever it's called, call "food deserts", where people have to go too far to go to a decently priced and variety filled grocery store. The little stores have very little healthy choices, and often what they have is extremely expensive. They are there to sell sugar, alcohol and smokes. Not bananas, bread, milk and chicken.
I am seeing where being able to buy a few non-food basics like diapers would be useful, however.
