Thanks to Meg's intel, they'd finally managed to figure out where the demons took Sam.

Dean didn't even wait until he had his brother in his sights, but started shouting "Sam!" the minute he got onto the property.

Meg was fast on Dean's heels, eyes wide. "Sam!" she shouted, calling out. God, please let him be here.

Sam hurried in the direction of the voices.

Unfortunately he didn't notice Jake waking up behind him. The other man picked up the knife that Sam had discarded and stalked towards Sam.

Dean opened his mouth to remind Meg he'd told her to wait in the car when he spotted Sam and everything else fell by the wayside.

Except, you know, the soldier coming up behind him with a knife. "Sam!"

Dean broke into a run. He could already tell he wasn't going to get there fast enough.
