So much to love here - it starts with the title which is a line from one of my favorite musicals, to the virgin apple cider. This was great too: 'Lex shot him a look full of that’s cashmere.' Perfect.

Oh, did you catch The Sound Of Music there? :) That makes me do a happy dance.

I could daydream on that exchange between Clark and Lex over his coat all day. I like it when they're flirty, but also when they're punchy. You know, like boys would be.

I get caught up in Clark watching the shoulders shrug and almost missing the coat - yum. I wouldn't mind you expanding this one either - full of subtle teasing (on Lex's part) and adorable confusion to startled comprehension to plots of revenge on Clark's part. *g*

We'll see if the spirit of Turkey season grabs me next week :)

I absolutely adore the idea of Lex coming to the Kents' for Thanksgiving. And obviously with a still too-young Clark, so even more delightful. I'm with twinsarein for the "Lex shot him a look full of that’s cashmere." ;D

I doubt Lex would ever actually care about Clark being under 21, but I also think he'd probably get some enjoyment out of twitting him over it too :)

I'm so thrilled you guys liked that line, I loved it too.

Clever, clever Lex! I imagine that the Kents would actually let him sip the champagne, but they'll appreciate the fact that Lex brought an alternative (even if Clark doesn't.)

I like this a lot, with Martha and your clever, clever Lex, and Clark... I just imagine him looking a little puppyish at being refused.

I can definitely see the pout on Clark's face at the end.

In our dysfunctional family, someone always sips too much at the Thanksgiving table and does something inappropriate and memorable thanks to it. If Lex were left to himself with that bubbly, what do you suppose would result? >:D

You probably need more sangria. It's helped me with all kinds of language problems in the past. >D
