Ueda Shinya's appreciative comment
He is 'The Idol'. For example, even though he doesn't ride roller coasters in private and doesn't eat spicy things, once when the camera is rolling, he stylishly does those things, he shows us. The attitude is clear. "For an idol to show their unstylish side is unsatisfactory!" He is a man who carries the most essential element for a Japanese prime minister of today. I wish for such a 'Kamenashi-spirit" to exist in the new prime minister. What kind of talk was this?
Egawa Suguru's appreciative comment
Kame-chan, he is a first-class "interpreter" who connects pro-baseball players and baseball fans. He has the expressiveness to be able to convey to the fans with appropriate words the "technique and sense" of those specializing in it professionally. That is because he himself has the talent and technique as a baseball player. If Kame-chan were larger, I have no doubt he could make a living as a pro. He has such a baseball sense.
Kamenashi of Going! Sports&News is very serious/diligent!
As baseball special supporter Kamenashi sends passionate "baseball love" on Sunday nights. "It's a location where I am surrounded by specialists and where I am more than happy." he says, it makes the heart of tough men flutter. "When I am here, it seems like it's not me, right?", tells serious and excellent Kamenashi!
* In "Going!" I work by turning on a switch where the mood, my conduct, my language, my clothes are totally different from KAT-TUN. I wear suits, I remove my accessories and I properly straighten my back muscles. Also saying it myself, I am really serious/diligent. But, the competition of first-class batters and the broadcast of on the spot coverage... I am able to experience things I could absolutely not do otherwise. It's my position as a youngster. I am really grateful.
* In the studio I stand between a MC genius and a legendary pitcher and baseball analyst and I expect to feel tense, but it's comfortable. Both Ueda-san and Egawa-san are kind-hearted and outstanding. Today too, before the real program when I was taking notes rapidly in hiragana I was told by Ueda-san "Try to write it in kanji", while laughing I frantically changed to kanji. I only recently realized it, the character "凄い" (sugoi/amazing) uses the ice radical [1]. For 25 years and until just a short while ago, I was convinced that was the water radical (*laughs*). In this way I get taught a lot of things, from kanji to politics and economics.
[1] The left side of the kanji 凄 has two strokes (ice radical), while for example 漢 has three strokes (water radical) on the left side.

A real contest with first-class batters unfolds. The "Season-opening Ceremony Project". Today's opponent is Seibu's 'big gun' player Nakamura.
He throws player Nakamura (pet name: Okawari-kun) the third ball and gets a centre fly. Okawari is also not making a hit!
At the moment of victory, pitcher Kamenashi rushes over to player Nakamura with a fresh and pretty smile. Player Nakamura's back looks somewhat desolate...

"Player Nakamura, at the moment he stood in the batter box, that was like it became a black hole! I felt like suddenly being sucked in. It was strange and frightening. Because it was a real competition, I was happy I could take him out, but apart from that and above all, I was so happy about the clapping and cheering when I entered the grounds that I got goose bumps. I am always deeply moved by the voices that greet a person from a totally different field/profession." (Kamenashi)
"While looking a the information with Ueda-san and Egawa-san, I get told a lot of things. I gain a lot of knowledge!"
"Ueda-san's broad outlook and wealth of knowledge are amazing! When Egawa-san is beside me, I feel at ease."
