I released Lazarus last weekend back in the park where I found him. He put up a good fight when I caught him in order to carry him to the car, which is a good sign. When I got to the park, I found an area where few people and many crows were. I loosened the cloth he was wrapped in (to keep him from flapping his wings) and he jumped out and hopped away. When he saw the other crows, he cawed to them once. However, he seemed tired, and simply hopped over to a tree and rested. When I checked on him later, he was still resting in the same spot, but when I approached him, he flew a short distance away and cawed once at me. A week later, I checked the park, but wasn't able to find any sign on him. So either he was eaten by a cat or dog, or he recovered and flew to his home, there's no way I'll know.
