Good luck. At least i'm fortunate in that I know someone who's aware of at least some lcoal groups, should I ever want to fall in with one of them.

For myself, I searched for local pagan groups online. Found a Yahoo group for a local one, and joined the group, introduced myself, and started talking with them. I've been a member of that group for about a year now. As opposed to a coven, the group I belong to is a group of eclectic solitaries who come together to celebrate major holidays and stuff. We all practice different paths, and different people do up rituals for the various holidays so that everyone who chooses to can participate in something done other than the way they normally practice. It's very laid back, and comfortable. Anyways, that's one way of finding a group, searching online and seeing whats out there. Good luck :)

I would say you have a couple options:

1) go to a local occult shop and see if they have a board for announcements where local groups may advertise.

2) Ask about workshops, seminars, etc. the occult shop may offer, whereby you may be able to network your area.

3) Check witchvox.com to see about local groups in your area, or at least local folks with common interests.

If you're looking for a specific tradition, like British Tradition Wicca, there are specific routes for finding such groups. The above may or may not work with such traditions, as many have their own prefered systems to meeting new students (and potential members).

Best of luck!

I know of at least 3 groups in Glasgow.
You could try witchvox as already suggested, or pop on here:

and have a look round.
