Generally with this kind of theme, I'm not sure what's weird in a good way or weird in an ugly way so some of these might fall into the negative category for you and that's okay. I think maybe that's exactly what the theme's about - and honestly I think it's okay, too, if some icons fall into the negative category (which btw yours don't!). It's fun for me, too - I've made a few icons so far, but I'm not really happy with any of them - theme-wise speaking.

Anyway, your set is really great and I especially love what you did in icons 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18 and 19. They're all really creative and your texture use is great. :)

Thank you! It was a lot of fun. This is the sort of thing that could have blocked me creatively if I hadn't embraced the reality that some of these might not work for everyone and embraced how different this is from my norm. I'm glad you like the result!

I know what you mean. It's a difficult theme if you don't embrace it.

Btw, your post really helped me to get my creativity going and just go beyond what I usually do and play with brushes, textures etc. I really struggled before and thought I wouldn't be able to finish my set, but now I think I'm on a good path. :)

I love the gritty look and coloring of 3, and 12 is so fun with those colors and the cutouts forming those geometric shapes!
