I am deeply concerned about the safety of thousands of female evacuees needing housing, and the predatory and opportunistic offers being made to them. I posted this on Craigslist. Please forward it to any female you know who will be evacuating:

Thank you for making this post. This is the type of thing that gets overlooked sometimes when people are tired and desperate.

It is indeed. Makes me ill to think there are people in this world who would exploit a disaster situation like this for sexual gain, but there always have been and always will be. The best a woman can do is be as careful as she can, and be ready should a situation not be what she was told.
