Oh, poor Regulus! What a life he led, but he certainly ended it with dignity and honor. It's too bad that Sirius never did understand. *Shakes head* Thanks for posting this. It certainly is a fascinating take on Regulus, and fits perfectly with what we know of him from canon.

This is amazing - you managed to spell down to the last letter what my hazy impressions of Regulus were. Thank you!

I was particularly affected by this:
"He stared around at the walls, filled with creepy motionless pictures of Muggle girls and Muggle transportation and Gryffindor banners, and let out a choked sound."
I'd never stopped to think of how strange Muggle pictures must look for wizard folk. Creepy, indeed...

Regulus is such an interesting character. I had a lot of fun playing around with different moments to pick that would show who he was to me. I'm glad it worked so well for you!

The pureblood perspective is so interesting for that sort of reverse-wonder that comes from being part of such an isolated community. Thanks!
