Half the weekend gone...

Though we made a half-arsed attempt to avoid it, we still ended up with family yesterday. haha. We seemed to have gotten an overload of Narnia; so much so that we got curious and bought some turkish delight. Not bad for some random candy, but not worth selling your soul over.

Turkish delight is one of the few things I enjoyed about Greece (without the chocolate, it's called loukoumia in Greek)--we went to a monastery where these monks were selling their own hand-made version, rose-flavored, with walnuts. I mistakenly bought the lemon version and cursed myself.

But, yeah, not worth going back to Greece for, and I think Edmund's desire for it is a sad comment on his stupidity and the privations of wartime rationing than anything else.

Have to admit that I liked Edmund more than the others because of his flaws. Well, the 2nd movie didn't really do much for me...probably because of the lack of Edmund and bland writing, but I'm going to read the books to see what happens to him. :)

We got the lemon ones, too. I'm betting the ones in Greece are miles better.
