I only voted once in California, for the 92 presidential elections. I left in December of 92. I had *no idea* until this week, between the budget meltdown and Prop 8, just how poorly written the process is for the CA State Constitution. I sincerely hope there is a convention that addresses the issue. You can't go around and keep overwriting the damn thing every two years on a 50.1% whim.
I was reading Daily Kos yesterday and someone came up with the idea of Amendment Zero, which would nullify all past and future amendments...except for Amendment Zero
