Think whatever you like to about me, Herr Einfarbig. I got lucky, that's all. I had no idea I could make such a sensation when I chose the case; the tip-off on the forgery came later. Good luck I caught it, ja? I mean, aside from letting his attorney use a forgery, my defendant was rigged and prepared to escape. These are not the actions of an innocent man, no matter how I came about my information.

...Usually when you do something illegal...you don't tell it to people who call in tips.

Speaking of which...any inquiries on who was the lucky man who made the tip...boy?

I know who gave us the tip, but that person deserves confidentiality and anonymity. Our anonymous tip system garners results because the tipster does not have to fear repercussions, ja?

Is the tipster afraid of repercussion...

I don't know about the prosecutor, but I completely agree with you on one point--this whole thing is like a curl of milk curdling in the dark depths of a cup of coffee: something's off.

You think something fishy's going on, pops?

Yeah, the new prosecutor is another young prodigy like Ms. von Karma...he seems nice though. He even gave me a Swiss Roll.

As open-and-shut as the matter of presenting forged evidence is, you still find this ... suspicious?

There are indeed many opinions swirling about, Mr. Badd. But I don't think a person without full access to relevant information can really weigh in on the situation with any degree of authority.
