The Mainframe populace go about their business as usual, if disturbingly cheerfully. The air is filled with cars and zipboards, not CPUs and tanks.

Everything's quiet, more or less.

Of course, given the group that's just coming in from Milliways, that's not liable to last long.

Members: Enzo Matrix, Oracle, Bruck, Kitt Knight, Maid Marian, Hack, Frisket
Objective: Administer the infection cure to as many sprites as possible, starting with the senior command staff of the Principal Office. Hopefully they shouldn't put up too much of a fight, right? ...Right?

Bruck has...well...never been tipped. "Uh...thank you, sir. Just doing my job." That was...unexpected. "It's not necessary, but thank you."

"Nonsense! You've earned it. Buy yourself something nice." He looks around. "This is all terribly exciting, isn't it?"

"Well, thank you." Pause, with a glance around. "Yes, it is..." Exciting isn't the word he'd use, but it certainly fits.

Kitt, on four wheels, quickly assessed the layout. One by one, the others were choosing their directions, and so he chose his. The easiest way for him to distribute the cure was through his scanner, switched to transmit as well as recieve. He stayed on his wheels instead of on foot, though, for ease of escape if the need arose.

A blonde binome in a leather jacket and a leopard-print tube top stops to stare at Kitt. "Whoah, sweet ride! What is that, an E3?"

"It's a Two-Thousand," said Kitt, a smile in his voice, while he broadcast the cure - it was what he was there for.

She yelps in surprise and tries to cover her eye, but it's too late.

When it's over, she blinks in surprise. "What in the 'Net was that?"

"Consider it a gift - today is the first day of the rest of your life, after all." He had to say something other than, 'I just cured you.' There were too many others in earshot to just come right out and say it.

While 'Bruck' is dealing with Mr. Mitchell, Hack picks up Enzo and, to his consternation, Frisket, activating his backjets and hauling for the Principal Office. It's faster than a zipboard, and from the look of things, every nano counts.

"I don't see anyone yet..."

Not really the best of signs, all data considered.

Enzo scans the ground. "There! There they are!" he calls, pointing, as Matrix and AndrAIa come into view around the curve of the PO, sitting calmly on a mound of rubble.

...Isn't that the most romantic place to sit. On a pile of rubble as your entire world is destroyed, side by side. Ok, the mun is going to wash herself from the cooties of that statement.

"...Matrix is smiling. Can I be creeped the Web out now?"

Matrix has been known to smile on occasion, but never like that. Never so peacefully. If Enzo were older, the word "benevolently" might even spring to mind.

Just so it's clear, Hack doesn't like this one bit as he jets down to the street level just a little ways from where the two warbirds sit smiling. Sure, he's faced Bob, the earlier version of that Enzo, and Megabyte... But this Matrix makes him want to find a beanie null and hide.

As they land, Enzo and Frisket spring down from Hack's arms and run toward the couple. "Matrix... AndrAIa!"

Matrix turned his head to look at Enzo, his hands folded in his lap. He smiles at his younger self.

That same calm, creepy smile.

"Enzo. It's good to see you."
