...so, when you mentioned yesterday you were writing the Oscars fic, I didn't actually expect to see it today on my flist. Did I mention that I love you?

Okay. Awww, and they lived happily ever after!

He could hear Nate smiling. “You know I love you?”

“Yes,” Brad said easily, because he’s learned to be sure of that, even when woken up in the middle of the night.
Oh. Oh, Brad. OH, BOYS *____________*

And Brad professed his love on international television!

“And the other one?”

“Mine,” Nate says simply and slips it onto his finger.

I think that was the most chaotic and unconstructive comment I've ever wrote, WHATEVER, I LOVE YOU AND I LOVE THIS FIC so much that I'm resorting to capslock. I do that a lot lately. And I'm rambling.

also, does this mean you're one step closer to writing that doctors!AU? *puppy eyes*

Oh, and Joseph Gordon fucking Levitt fucking wins the universe.

I am going through my list of WIPs, I need to finish shit. Don't know how soon I'll get to the doctors!AU, but it's up there.

Now, JGL. After Nate has done that movie with Zooey Deschanel, she introduced them, and they stroke up a friendship. It's my head canon. (Which might come through in a fic at a later day. Along with Nate's sort of crush on Tom Hardy, whom Brad obviously hates, and that time Brad has an accident on location, and that time Nate directs a movie and Brad accuses him of wanting to get an Oscar in every possible category and Nate shrugs and tells him that he's thinking of designing costumes next year, and that time Nate wears Brad's shirt on national television, and... well. I am overinvested and I have the whole universe mapped out. IT'S BETTER THAN REALITY BECAUSE DAVID FINCHER GETS AN OSCAR.)

Nate wearing Brad's shirt on national television! EEEEE! TMZ would have a field day. Hell, TMZ would have a field day as soon as they discover that Brad and Nate are a couple. Brad's reaction to the attention would be hilarious, actually, RAY's reaction would be PRICELESS!

I am still pouting up a storm over this years Oscars, but pretending this is the real deal makes it SO much better! This is pretty much perfect fluff and I just want to cuddle it close. And Tina Fey hosting the Oscars is officially the best idea ever!

You're welcome to live in my reality. In here David Fincher gets the directing Oscar. Not that I'm bitter over this year, but FUCK YOU, ACADEMY. erm.

And well, I had entirely too much fun writing this and deciding who wins, and who won last year (because I needed the presenters), and who hosts, and what movies are nominated, and all that. (There's a lot more than made it into the fic, tbh.)

I love hoe you can bring Nate and Brad to so many different universes and still retain their essential characters. I love the way that it is Brad who is a nominee this time, in contrast to Nate's awards buzz in the big bang fic.

This has been a long time coming, since the last Emmys and Alexander Skarsgard presenting. I wanted to do an awards fic for a while, and then there was the Oscars and I've watched way too much coverage because of my newest infatuation with The Social Network :D
