When the order for Kyle and George to return to Fandom came, George almost didn't believe it. It had been so long, and the rhythm of missions and returns and firefights had almost gotten natural. Almost might be overstating it a little

"I coul live with that," George complained, frowning at the lineup of beloved knives on his blanket.

He made a face. "Probably not worth it then." He hadn't realised he'd have to leave his knives. Some of them had been with him since he was a wee lad.
