When the order for Kyle and George to return to Fandom came, George almost didn't believe it. It had been so long, and the rhythm of missions and returns and firefights had almost gotten natural. Almost might be overstating it a little.
Still, he'd miss some of the unit, some of the girls he'd met, but surge of gratitude at being able to go home was smothered with a wave of guilt that he got to. None of the others did, and Kyle would be going back as soon as he could.
