The Navyboys Challenge inspired the "Uncle Philemon" agony column in which the good Captain Pellew, incognito, found somewhat to his chagrin, that he was answering queries from distracted young men of his own ship! Heh, I realise now that my recent drabbles could very well have been the thoughts of Confused and Unrequited. I’m glad that’s settled now! :o)

That’s wonderfully fluffy, and I like the mixture of genre. It keeps it fresh, although it’s such a classic locus amoenus romance…

Terror because everything told his fine tuned instincts that to be this happy was to court disaster.

I can't tell you how chuffed I am to see this string of appreciative comments :) You already know how much I adore this but just to say it all again in public, this is poignant, funny, tender and hot. It just shines with youth and hope and joy and of course Archie's first sonnet here just makes me melt. We'll done m'dear, it's beautiful.
