I have a question for my fellow R/Hr shippers (my entire f-list, I think :D). At the end of DH, was it evident that they were together for good. Was there even the remotest possibility that they would ever see other people from that point on

Also, I agree with you on the Austen adaptations. I thought Northanger Abbey was well cast, well acted, and just fun to watch. Mansfield Park was okay, but it seems to be a difficult book to adapt, and doesn't fit well into 90 minutes.

Re: Ron/Hermione - I'm glad I'm not alone in this opinion. Well, I didn't think I was, but I was listening to WeasleyCast, and during a feature on Ron/Hermione, all but one of the panelists seemed to think their relationship would be off/on until their engagement, which was so strange to me. To me, it's a misrepresentation of Ron and Hermione's characters to put them with other people after DH.
Rose was really Harry's daughter, and when she finds out it confirms her years of suspicions that Ron and her mother are totally unsuited. That's just... no.
IAWTC.
Northanger Abbey was made of awesomesauce. Felicity Jones was charming and very cute as Catherine, and I ended up voting for Henry Tilney over Mr. Darcy on the Masterpiece website because I loved him so much. Once again, the best guys are fictional characters. :D

Anyway, of course I don't mind a new friend, especially a fellow R/Hr fan! :D
I can't believe they actually thought R/Hr would be off/on. They went through all the emotional confusion, misdirection, and doubt in GoF, OotP, and HBP. After they finally admit their feelings to each other in DH, why would they regress?
"Awesomesauce"... I like it! Henry Tilney is both adorable and charming, so he deserves some love from the voters.

I know! So weird. While there may have been some difficulties during the year Hermione went back to Hogwarts and Ron worked at the Ministry, and they almost certainly had many rows, I highly doubt the words "break-up" were even seriously thought of before their marriage (or, for that matter, after).
"Awesomesauce"... I like it!
And I'd love to be able to take credit for it, but I'm afraid it was coined by a far wittier person than me. :D
I love pretty much all the Austen men (of the good guys, anyway), but I think Mr. Darcy, Henry Tilney, and Captain Wentworth are my favorites. That was another reason why I didn't care for the latest adaptation of Persuasion; the ending was completely botched. The Bath Marathon + random waltzing = wrong!

Yay!
