A Little Confused

I have a question for my fellow R/Hr shippers (my entire f-list, I think :D). At the end of DH, was it evident that they were together for good. Was there even the remotest possibility that they would ever see other people from that point on?

Maybe I'm biased because they're my OTP, but my understanding was that there was absolutely no way they would split up after the kiss in the Room of Requirement. My feeling on the matter is that there was never anyone else after that - I mean, this is Ron and Hermione we're talking about.

Which is why I'm finding the ten years of separation/ Ron goes back to Lavender/ Hermione marries and divorces Viktor Krum fics so incredibly unbelievable. Sure, there are always going to be stupid and utterly inplausible fics, but seriously. Did we read the same book here?

Then again, that's been my reaction to fandom about 87% of the time. :)

Side note #1: Really, really worried about Super Tuesday. I want to be optimistic, especially about youth turnout, but I go to high school with some of these people.

Side note #2: So bummed about the Super Bowl. I don't even like football, but my dad's been a Patriots fan since they were the Patsies. :(

Side not #3: I've been watching the Austen adaptations on Masterpiece Theater (the name by which I will continue calling it, even though it's been changed - taking out the "Theater" was a silly idea, PBS). Northanger Abbey is my favorite so far (out of the new ones. Nothing can beat Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy and Jennifer Ehle as Lizzy. Mmm, pond scene. And I have so much love for the part when they're staring across the room at each other at Pemberley.). Mansfield Park was all right, but I definitely wasn't crazy about Persuasion. Anne was badly miscast!
