Hello network.

[ He's got a better idea of how to use the device now, and he's actually holding it correctly. Text transcription into other languages was another skill he picked up, but being this is the quintessential English prick, Arthur sees no reason to try and communicate with those that don't speak his language.Currently I'm located at ( Read more... )

[ GUESS WHO HE WAS TRYING NOT TO GET HELP FROM ]

America, if you've no information of value to offer me, then please desist from engaging in pointless conversation with me.

[ With a tilt of the head. ] ...unless you have some useful information to contribute about this... 'rail tracer'.

This is gonna be like the third time I tell you this. I want you to realize this. Appreciate my efforts to educate you.

America, my patience is running thin. Do you or do you not have something of value to offer to me that makes some sort of coherent sense and doesn't involve drugs or old pretzels?

[ Out of nowhere, there is a Korean bolting towards you.
You hear him before you see him. ]

YEEEEEEEEEONGUUUUUUG!!

[ NEARLY BULLDOZERING INTO ENGLAND.
Nearly. You're safe this time because he slows down a lot.
It is an enthusiastic embrace, followed by extensive clinging. ]

Aaaaah, it is so good to see your bush brows in person!!! I was so excited! So excited!

[ OHGODOHGODOHGODHE"S GOING TO DIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEE-- ]

--KOREA! [ CRINGING READY TO BE KNOCKED DOWN AND---it.... it doesn't happen. He just has a rather annoying Korean teenager clinging to him like the plague. ]

...Korea. [ And suddenly, pushing, squirming, general freaking out because he's touching him! ] IM YONG! [ Pushing at his face and chest and arms and--breaking away. And then standing a good six feet away from the Korean man, brushing himself down before huffing. ]

Korea. It is generally not considered polite to attack people like that, just so that you are aware. I am... not quite as excited to see you, but I suppose I am pleased... in the way one is to see a beloved dog that has ran away for some time, only to find it once more after many days of worrying, but finding out it has become rabid. [ A frown. ] Did you hear my message to the network?

[ He was rubbing against your face aaaah you are such a grumpy old man like Big Bro he loves it and you're from the West and yes.
He simmers down, taking a deep breath. ]

I am sorry. I am overwhelmed with excitement, I am shaking like a little branch. I should respect my elders. [ even though I am older than you. And everyone.
In one arm, he is cradling his kimchi jar which still hasn't been eaten completely, and somehow hasn't broken yet. ]

Ne, I heard your message. I want to help you!
You have all of my services!

[ .... hesitantly shuffling closer... ]

[ What the fuck why did he bring his rotten cabbage with him to Discedo? Maybe England can steal it from him and use it as a weapon... ] Too right you are. Please try to control yourself and maintain some sort of decency, lad. I know that's hard for you, but honestly.

[ He heaves a sigh. ]

All right. All right. [ Glancing behind him. Then to the side. Then to the other side. This time, it's England who shuffles closer and leans in, voice lowering dramatically. ]

I'm going to go venture out. [ With a jerk of his head, he motions behind himself. ] I mean honestly out. Into the forests. I want to see what's out there, if there's an escape. I know there's nothing in this miserable city, or the other one I was in. Would you like to come with me?

[ Because yes, you're annoying Korea, but you're also loud and annoying and these alleged monsters might eat you first... ]

Look, are you going to offer your assistance, yes or no, oui ou non, um... [ He winces, thinking for a moment. ] Si o no? [ Well whatever Spanish is close enough to Italian. ]

Only one good way to find out how dangerous something is! [ read: fight the shit out of it. ]

Hmmmm, you could always use a sword. In my experience, there's usually some lying around if you look hard enough. Might have to pry it off a skeleton, but they had their chance with it.

Precisely. However, I'd like to gather information anyway just in case I'm familiar with the beasts of the area. Some may be more benevolent than they look, and others more malevolent, of course.

A sword would be acceptable, seeing as I'm quite skilled in using one. [ A raise of the brow. ] However, seeing as it is no longer Medieval times, locating a skeleton with a spare sword might be slightly difficult. Can you offer any other suggestions?

I'm new, can't really offer up any tidbits. [ shrug. ] You should probably have a weapon on you in either case. If you're really curious, I could always test the waters first.

Swords are pretty trendy right now where I'm from! Don't diss. I don't really remember what kind of weapons my world had when it was like this. Shards of glass, maybe?

So I see. Well, that's all right like. [ A little smile. ] No, no, please. If you'd really like to have a look around, I wouldn't object to another person joining my party. [ Of him and Korea, currently. Just say no, Marceline. ]

I'm not... doing anything of the sort. I don't mean to say swords aren't useful, just that they're not used much anymore, especially since the innovation of guns and other such arsenal.

Oh yes, glass indeed. A bit crude, but a doable suggestion.
