Reid knows that Luke loves him and all is right with the world!
As much as I wanted Luke to tell Reid he loves him for the first time in a very sappy, gooey romantic way, I still enjoy the way Reid finds out how Luke really feels. Very unexpected for Reid and I adore his reaction. He can't quite believe it but you can just tell he's all happy and giddy--and also very shocked--inside as he follows Luke out of Java and then when they're sitting outside across from each other. And Reid wants to tell Luke how he feels too--he does!--but I get that he's still processing Luke's love declaration himself so he'll wait on that a bit. Oh, but Luke doesn't mind because Luke knows Reid loves him too--he does!
And loving how Reid does what Luke tells him. Luke talks to him about it being important for Katie to be at Chris's side and Reid listens and eventually agrees and changes his tune from before, because Luke can convince him to do anything. :)

Luke rubs his face adorably and says he can't believe he just told Noah he's in love with Reid.
I believe I rewound this no less than a million times the first time I saw it.
Luke shyly adds, "But, you could tell me that you love me whenever you want."
HEARTS! HEARTS! HEARTS! THERE ARE HEARTS IN MY OWN EYES. LUKE KNOWS THAT REID LOVES HIM AND REID LOVES HIM V. MUCH BUT HE'LL SAY IT LATER. ALREADY PLANNED AND THEY ARE IN LOVE. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.
I think they both have valid points and that Luke overreacted, but I love to see how they talk things out.
And not get pissy with each other and break up after five seconds? Me too.
Reid gets paged away, and he blows Katie a kiss as he's going.
Reid loves Katie, Jacob, and Luke a lot. Not in this order. But it warms my cold, dead heart.
"I guess I realized that if you really love someone, that you shouldn't run away from it just because it scares you." Luke smiles and says that's good advice, and they laugh about Reid telling Katie to man up

So then, this is where Chris dies and Reid consoles Katie and then he and Luke live happily ever after, right? Oh, good. That's what I thought.
I think when this originally aired, I was so distracted by the spoilers, that I couldn't truly appreciate the awesomeness that was Reid Oliver. (And ESS. I mean, that man could say more with one facial expression....amazing) BEST soap opera character EVER.
But Luke and Reid together...Oiy. Their chemistry was ridiculous. SO MUCH LOVE!!! I just want to hug them both....
