I think my favorite part was Henry's laugh at Reid's joke about Chris being an "official" bastard. I loved this so much. IT really seemed like it could have been a turning point in the Henry & Reid lovefest. We already saw Reid try to fix Henry and Katie up so we know he must see past Henry's . . .quirks. And Henry is at least being amused by Reid at this point.
Henry was also cute about wanting to go with Barbara to look for Kim. Not sure why Katie thought she had the right to stop him. *shrug*
Kim declares that she doesn't even want to know what's going on with Bob and his new boyfriend, and tells him just to go, and takes off all bitchy and horrible. I'm envisioning a similar show-down between Luke and Reid in twenty-five years when their forty year old son is causing them problems, and they get crabby with each other, and then have old people make up sex.
Well, if they get themselves a teenage kid to adopt that could work out ;)
Reid: No, I think I'm going to stick around a little bit longer. This family is a hell of a lot more interesting than it looks.
Oh Reid, have you already forgotten that wedding that wasn't? With all the waving around of guns and sleeping around of brides?
Oh god, that was so perfect and hilariously inappropriate to say at an anniversary party. Of course Henry is the only one with enough of a sense of humor to appreciate it. I love the way ESS punctuates that line with a piece of food.
IKR! That is one of my favorite Reid line's ever. So funny. And Henry laughing and then saying "That's not funny" when Katie glares at him just made the whole thing even more hilarious.
Going back to rewatch these scenes is so much fun! Apart from the "bastard" comment, there are several things that make me laugh. For one, I love Reid's intonation when he refers to the "awesome responsibility" he was entrusted with of getting Bob to the party. Secondly, when he's inquiring about the food, there's a little snigger when he says "from Al's" that cracks me up. I don't know why. Then when Tom says that Bob and Kim aren't officially married, there is the hue and outcry of everyone else while Reid is stuffing his face in the background. Finally, unrelated to Reid, there's the exchange between Lisa and Susan where Lisa says something to the effect that you can't get married too many times and Susan retorts, "You should know." There's Henry and his laugh. Just love the whole clip

ME, TOO!!! :D
One final note, since it WAS Bob and Kim's 25th anniversary, Reid was actually spot on when he called Chris a bastard. I remember thinking at the time it was ridiculous of the writers not to advance their anniversary to fit Chris's age. They took license with so many other dates and times. Why not that?
IKR? It really bugs me, too. It makes it really hard to suspend disbelief.

I love this, too. And I absolutely love this scene so much. But it was sort of a flimsy excuse. Chris didn't have to involve Reid at all. He could have had Tom make the call to Bob to let him know that there was an emergency meeting about Reid's suit. Especially since they were meeting at Tom's place anyway. Plus, it was kind of illogical to expect Kim to come to a meeting about Reid's lawsuit. THey could have at least said that Margo needed to see Kim about something [worried about Casey and needed advise, etc.,]
