I'm gonna get my hair relaxed, is it better to use the shampoo they give or the baking soda?

Edit: I ment to say relaxed sorry.

Baking soda might be really harsh on a perm, which already dries out your hair. Maybe something gentler?

baking soda would kill your hair after a perm.
you'd have to wait a month or 2 before you went back to BS on your hair.

I would suggest trying conditioner-only, ACV-only, or something similar for the first few months of your perm. I've never had a perm but when I use chemical hair dye I go CO for a bit to nurture my hair before I return to BS/ACV.
