sometimes, when i get a little down, i like to imagine i'm one of the people in a burt bacharach song. as an atheist, i feel uncomfortable trying to live out the lyrics to "i say a little prayer." no, i imagine myself as the sexist [and slightly mysogynistic] straight breadwinner who sings stuff like "don't think just because there's a ring on ( Read more... )

worst. download. site. EVER!

first you need to wait to get a "download ticket"... then you get heavily throttled bandwidth after the first 10MB unless you buy a premium membership?

VILE INTERNETS.

I forgot how great that movie is. I just added it to my Amazon Wish List.

I saw her do a free performance at Emory when I was an undergrad and a) the student body totally didn't appreciate her and b) she caused a scandal (and I think was banned from campus) by pulling the pants off someone in the audience. I am still ashamed of my alma mater for the whole incident.

it's so wonderful and i kind of have this longshot dream of maybe teaching a film elective at a high school some day and showing this. i watch her final dance sequence repeatedly. sigh.

is that your sole source of emory-related shame?

eh, i'd reached a sort of plateau of gayness. see, once you get near the top levels of gayness (lvl 60 'gaylord'), gaining levels is slower, the quests are more difficult.

and thus ends my comment about the queer role playing game -- FAGGOTRY, the Redecoration

i'm stuck forever at L50 because i can't do the fashion quest, the barbra/judy/liza quest or the drag quest.

i will never get the epic-level fag armor. :(

i love sandy b. She is who i wish i was!

I am not a big fan of WITHOUT YOU I'm NOTHING. WHO ARTED!!!!

I love the live cd because she trashes the audience and it feels more alive.

i think it takes some getting used to and the live cd is WAY more accessible but once you get into the movie you want to watch it all the time.

i really love excuses for bad behavior part. I even though a lot of people probably totally fucking hate it because she sings. but "lonely town" off that album is one of the best songs in the world.
