The current news post is about the Advisory Board, but the previous post on LJ's 10th birthday had an interesting level of partnerships and marketing in it. ( More about the news post. )

Didn't know ONTD was a perm account, that place could probably pay for the site on its own if there were ads on there.

I used LJ book once, seems OK but also seemed pointless (to me, anyway).

It'll be good to have you with me for my blatherings, haha.

I knoooow! I realized that one day when I was going through LJ Inc's Sales page and figuring out how many of their featured communities were Plus or had ads on them. Another interesting note, Plus was probably inadvertantly omitted from this sentence: "If you have a Basic, Paid, or Permanent account and want to share your story with Nature Made, click here to answer the question." I can't imagine Plus accounts are actually not included, however.

Plus was omitted because if I recall correctly, it was displayed by default in the Writer's Block. Everyone else needed to follow the actual link.

Ah, that makes a lot of sense! Crossed out and ETA'd. Also made clearer that filling out ad info is not necessary, just very...leading a horse to water--some people got the impression it was.
