Regarding "trading" accounts: Either I'm completely mistaken, or the email address an account is registered under always remains associated with it, in order to prevent account theft...

Yup, which is why Support and such never recommends trading accounts--the email address that was used to sign up for an account always has the ability to get the password to the account.

Heh, I could give away that email address as well, I'm sure the new recipient would love 1000 spam emails per day (it's admin address on an old domain)...
