At the risk of a lecture from elkor ;) I'll also mention that I found an interesting serrated knife-like tool.

I'm not going to lecture you on what is "appropriate" as that's a little "One True Way"-ist for my tastes.

I will, however, reserve the right to say "Told ya so" and smack you upside the head if you accidentally lacerate someone with it.

LOL fair enough! I'll let you look at it, I think it's sharpened such that it cuts far less than e.g. a bread knife would. It seems like the valleys of the serrations are sharp but the teeth are dull and so close together that it's hard for skin to really get down into the valleys.

For what it's worth I use all my knives on myself far more than on anyone else. I like playing around with them but almost never feel comfortable using them on anyone else.
