This is *brilliant*! Perfect Pushing Daisies format complete with Ned-Chuck babbling! It makes sense that Olivia would drop this one because Ned is weird but not insane; she has bigger problems. My favorite part is Peter loving the pie:

"Oh, for--" Emerson rolled his eyes. "Why don't you just tell us why you're really here? I know it ain't the pie."

"Actually," Peter said, raising his pie covered fork, "that's why I'm here."

Emerson watched him for a moment. "Okay, I'll buy that," he said, before turning to Olivia. "So why are you here?"

This was hilarious, and such FUN! Perfect melding of the two canons. I loved Peter being so into the pie, and all the dialogue from the PD characters. What a great idea, too; of course Ned's ability comes from Walter's and Bell's experiments!
