XD I kind of love that you've done this :D I do love seeing other people's take on the character. (No. I'm not weird. Why would you ask?)

I really do love the second one. I have it in my head that Winona was an engineer so it just fits so perfectly &hearts (Do you think TOS!Kirk was the same? Or is this one of these fun little shifts between the 'verses?)

The third one is an interesting thought. Someone as smart and someone who is so depended on, must find it hard to shut off at times.

(I was going to do one for SPock but when your first entry for that consisted of '1) Spock secretly has a bit of a thing for David Bowie' you know you need to quit while your ahead)

I don't find it weird at all, in fact I think this a brilliant exercise (AND FUN!!) I kinda want to do one for Spock now too (AND DAVID BOWIE IS COMPLETELY LOGICAL - do it do it do eeeeeet!) :3

RE - Engineer Jim - YES! One of my FAVOURITE TOS episodes was the Doomsday Machine when he was trying to restore power to Decker's ship. *happy sigh* Call me crazy, but Jim with soldering iron in hand - HOT :3 (may also have a slight engineering kink. *drool*)

I'm no genius, but I have a hard time turning my brain off - I take that and multiply it a million fold for Kirk, I've got art, he's got stars (totally unrelated side squee - I'm going to Florida in two weeks.. GUESS WHO'S GONNA SEE NASAAAAAAAAAAA? Heeeeeeee!)

So I came here stalking your art and found this. I hope you know that I was enjoying myself and grinning and giggling at your head canon and approving wholeheartedly of your nu!Kirk thoughts, and then I read number five.

Number five stole my soul just a little. He deleted the poetry. The world is glad, Jim, because a genius-level wunderkind you might be, but I don't think the cosmos is ready for that.

*snicker* Jim's secret log is my favourite too XD I had it as a throwaway line in one of my stories and it just sort of took over my brain :D (I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE!! coffeestudies did a HILARIOUS photomontage take on it. )

I had seen that photomontage before but had lost the link, so THANK YOU for re-providing; I snickered gleefully. Jim's inner thirteen-year-old girl with a crush is given free reign whenever Spock comes on the scene, and this pleases me.

Nu!Kirk is to poetry what Shatner is to music. Now that is just cruel. I'm sure his poetry was, er, lovely. (LOTS OF THINGS RHYME WITH EAR, OKAY? Eyebrow is harder, and Jim is never letting McCoy get him that drunk again. He's just lucky he didn't meet anyone on the way back to his quarters.)

...Would you mind if I stole this? I'm sort of intrigued, and may be partway through composing my own list of Kirkian head-canon.

ANYWAY!

I'm glad you enjoyed this, I had an absolute blast with it and I'm absurdly flattered that this is what made you delurk :D

And yay head canon! I'm thinking of doing another one for Spock and Scotty but I swore to myself that I would finish Nixaan Theta first. LOFTY GOALS - I HAVE THEM! HUZZAH!

*ahem* Starting now! The various paintings and the smutty Kirk/Scotty story I just wrote don't count. ;)
